  The shunning has started and... I like it!

  so not having turned in a time-slip in a loooooooong time and making fewer and fewer meetings, and from time to time attending a local church service... the majority of local dubs are overtly shunning me.

  there are those who i talk to and who visit our home from time to time, but this last meeting i went to hardly anyone made eye contact, when i greeted folks passing by me, they ignored me.

  it actually felt good.. i was surprised at my reaction.

  opposite: That's comical "shunning and I like it". Maybe we are looking at shunning in

  the wrong way. Can you imagine asking the elders to shun you. You folks who are sitting on

  the fence and dread the day when you may be shun, take the power

  away from the elders. I can see a WT article, we have reports of JW's asking to be shunned so what

  do we do now. Lets step up to the plate folks, shun me I don't give a damn.

  That's the only power they have on most, but if you know it's not truth it's just a matter of time.

  JW elder on the street I live in.

  so just the other day i happened to look out my window to see the cobe and the elder who studied with me on the doors.

  it got me thinking.. i remember one day, during my study that he said he loved me.

  although he meant this as a "brother" it actually sent me into, what i can only describe as shock and alarm!

  Around 400 B.C Greek physician Hippocrates the first to treat mental illness about the same time

  the God stop speaking with humans. In the OT God spoke to hundreds, in the books

  of the prophets it's every where, "and the word of the Lord came to me". So it's very strange

  after treating people for mental illness (400 B.C), the numbers dropped in regards to people speaking with GOD.

  This guy decided to go ice fishing so he cut a hole in the ice, he heard this loud voice "there is

  NO fish under the ice". He stopped and looked around and thought "God is speaking to me".

  So he moved to another spot and drilled another hole and the voice loud and clear, "there is no

  fish under the ice". He stood up and lowered his head and ask, God is that you?

  The voice came back," no this is the manager for this Ice skating facility.

  Wow! I guess I underestimated the Army of ex-JW's.

  We must give credit to our undercover workers, our spies our intel (you who are still

  stuck in), your intel has made it possible for us to know more about the JW religion

  than the average JW.

  Reading "berrygerry and Brokeback WT" comments , it brought to mind when British cryptologists broke the

  secret code used by the German army to direct ground- to- air operations on the Eastern front

  the Allies knew before hand their tactics, WW2.

  I can see now we are gaining ground and it is soooo sweet.....

  seriously, someone thinks that a video on how to be nice to people different from him is an affront to his god.

  I often think of the young man in my Congregation (in the 70's), his Father a elder and his

  brother. All knew he was gay but he wasn't treated any different than the others in

  the congregation. This was a small congregation and all were very close, but I wonder if

  he was in a much larger congregation in the big city and if his father and his brother weren't elders.

  He played the piano in our hall for the Kingdom songs and he was good.

  The last I heard he was DF and never came back after his mom and dad passed. A very nice young man.

  My best friend was gay in school, didn't realize it until about the 11'th grade, so I distant myself from

  him. Years later I saw him and I was a JW, he told me kids thought he was gay but I'am not (he was very religious,

  raised a 7 Day Adventist). My class reunion a few months ago he brought up the subject once more and

  I told him, I'am not a JW or Christian anymore and my views have changed....

  Do you have / admire Charisma?

  "charisma is a certain quality of an individual personality by virtue of which the person is set apart from ordinary people and treated as exceptional".

  as a kid i was afraid of such charisma, as it was usually the quality i noticed elders, head masters, and parents had to exercise with unloving authority over me.. but now i think about it "charisma" doesn't need be only for people with authority.

  " charisma" is something even we can have?

  James Brown: In the late 60's and early 70's we didn't have the inter-net, but today I agree

  "why would someone become a JW". If I had known about the early end of the world dates,

  they were one of the last few religious organization to integrate (black and whites), and they were

  just F---ing nuts.
